Physalis (Uchuva)
Its consumption is in a natural way, pastries, jellies, juices, ice creams, sweets, jams, in sauces for white meats and salads and even as decoration for special dishes. Internationally it is considered an exotic fruit. Industrially, jams, nectars, cloudy juices, and preserves are manufactured with very satisfactory results, offering a yield of 83 to 86% in pulp.
